Judge Dennis Davis
Owing to the increasing workload of the Davis Tax Committee, Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene has acceded to its request to add two new members – Deborah Tickle and Dr Thabo Legwaila.
Their membership would take effect from Friday, which was the committee’s second anniversary.
Chartered accountant Tickle, who was currently KPMG international and corporate tax partner, and Citibank Africa tax head Legwaila signed confidentiality agreements.
The committee was chaired by Judge Dennis Davis and included Professor Annet Oguttu, Professor Matthew Lester, Professor Ingrid Woolard, Dr Nara Monkam, Tania Ajam, Professor Nirupa Padia and Vuyo Jack.
