Project Description
The current production capacity of the Otta plant comprises 36 000 t/y of detergent powder, 36 000 t/y of bar soap, 1 200 t/y of petroleum jelly and 4 800 t/y of toothpaste.

The expansion plans include the addition of a third spray tower to double detergent powder production capacity to 72 000 t/y; a second saponification plant to increase soap production capacity to 60 000 t/y; and backward integration of the linear alkyl benzene sulphonic acid plant and silicate digester plant.

Potential Job Creation
The project is expected to create jobs for an additional 300 permanent employees and about 220 temporary workers.
