Project Description
The project comprises the construction of a concrete arch gravity dam, 77.5 m high and 264 m long and a power plant housing two turbines with a total installed capacity of 118 MW on the Támega river, in northern Portugal.
A 388 m tunnel to divert the river and a weir, 71 m long and 10.5 m high, will also be built 2.2 km downstream of the dam.

The project will cost more than €90-million to implement.

Duration
The project is expected to take about four-and-half years to complete.

Latest Developments
A consortium led by Ferrovial Agroman Construction, of which local company MSF Construction is also a member, has been selected by Iberdrola to build the Daivoes dam and hydroelectric plant.
