The National Energy Regulator of South Africa’s (Nersa’s) hearings into Eskom’s three Regulatory Clearing Account submissions, amounting to more than R66-billion, wrapped up in Gauteng last week. The Eskom team (pictured on the left during hearings in Soweto) were heavily grilled by the Nersa regulators (pictured behind the table) during the countrywide process. However, the difficult decision now rests entirely with Nersa, which is expected to make its determination on June 21.
