BLOWING AWAY COMPETITION Side-channel blowers across the range will maximise offerings
Sandton-based side-channel blower supplier CR Elec plans to expand on its offerings to complement its existing Sirocco brand.
A side-channel blower can generate significantly higher pressures than industrial fans, and is also known as a vacuum pump or vacuum compressor. The side-channel blower, however, has a lower air flow than a centrifugal fan might have.
The new brand will be sold in addition to CR Elec’s Sirocco LK turbo blowers and Sirocco side-channel blowers and has the benefit of a three-stage unit as well as explosion proof motors. The available options will soon be on the website for viewing.
CR Elec supplies the Sirocco LK turbo blowers in configurations from 0.75 kW to 15 kW. Its range of Sirocco single- stage side blowers is available from 0.18 kW to 20 kW, while the Sirocco double-stage blowers range up to 16 kW.
“The Sirocco range of blowers is suited to various industries, from wastewater treatment, fisheries, materials handling, pneumatic conveying, and medical and dental fields,” boasts CR Elec operations manager Brian Pearson.
“The new addition is being tested and, when acquired, the two brands, when supplied together, should complement each other,” he notes.
Stock is carried and maintained at CR Elec’s warehouse in Gauteng, and it also offers accessories such as the filters and pressure relief valves which are required to maintain the blowers and minimise downtime.
CR Elec offers a full service and repair workshop to not only their Sirocco ranges but also any other models if the parts are available from the original-equipment manufacturer.
