MANUFACTURE Allmech assembles and tests its boilers at its workshops before they are dispatched
Servicing boilers and cooling towers can ensure minimal scaling and protect the plant against premature failure, especially considering that 1 mm of scale can increase a company’s fuel bill by 10%, says boiler manufacturer Allmech GM Lionel Maasdorp.
In addition, he states that the company manufactures components such as electrodes and elements, as well as gas-fired and oil-fired boiler plants, to recognised codes of design, which will ensure that its workmanship is of the highest quality.
“These codes of design are accepted and certified by professional engineers and inspection agencies that fall under the Approved Inspection Authorities programme of the Department of Labour,” Maasdorp points out.
The company’s electrode steam boilers and electrode hot water boilers are assembled and tested at its workshops before they are dispatched.
The electrode boilers are able to supply steam in the size range 64 kg/h to 4000 kg/h, with higher pressure boilers also available on request.
Maasdorp says the company is also able to offer smaller electric element steam boilers ranging from 19 kg/h to 76 kg/h, with hot water boilers and storage vessels also on offer.
The availability of spares and customer service back the equipment the company provides, says Maasdorp, adding that its personnel are also capable of assisting clients with the challenges they encounter with steam plants provided by other suppliers.
“Allmech offers an all-round service to customers that buy boiler plants, as we discuss the requirements with them at the start of the project to ascertain the exact steam requirements and needs for their particular products,” he indicates.
However, Maasdorp highlights that the company does not become involved in the i nstallation of boilers as every client’s plant is different, “so we leave that to the experts who specialise in that field”.
He adds that Allmech manufactures all its items to order, which assists in knowing and understanding its clients’ needs before building the boilers.
