Project Description
The 156 MW dc/120 MW ac Comanche solar power plant will be the largest in Colorado and is expected to produce more than 300 GWh/y of energy, enough to power about 30 000 Colorado homes.

The solar power plant will prevent the emission of more than 478-million pounds of carbon dioxide.

When completed, the Comanche Solar project will be the largest solar power plant east of the Rocky Mountains.

Value
The project will be financed by a $1.5-billion nonrecourse first reserve warehouse facility.

Duration
Construction of the project started in August this year and is expected to be completed during the first half of 2016.
