The Namibian Stock Exchange (NSX) has approved the secondary listing of JSE-listed Clover with effect from April 22 under share code CLN.

Clover CEO Johann Vorster advised shareholders on Wednesday that the NSX listing would broaden Clover’s investor base by enabling Namibian investors to invest directly in Clover’s shares.

“This listing will also assist in building relationships with Namibian stakeholders, which are important to the Clover group, especially considering our long-term strategic plans, which include further expansion into Africa,” he said.

Clover Dairy Namibia, which was started in 2011, had grown considerably over the years, noted the group.

The company currently distributed both refrigerated and nonrefrigerated dairy and other fast-moving consumer goods throughout Namibia, and employed about 80 people at its depot in Windhoek.

Clover’s primary listing would remain on the main board of the JSE.
