Mobile operator Cell C on Tuesday announced the appointment of former Telekom Networks Malawi CEO Douglas Craigie Stevenson as its new COO effective September 26.
Craigie Stevenson, who holds an MBA from the University of the Free State and a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours) from the University of South Africa, has served in various senior positions across Africa, including South Africa, Malawi, Tanzania and Mozambique over the past 20 years.
“He is well versed in planning, execution and negotiation at various organisational levels, with a strong focus on strategic leadership,” Cell C CEO Jose dos Santos said in a statement.
Craigie Stevenson’s prior positions include Vodacom Business Africa Group MD; Vodacom South Africa Business Africa Group/ Enterprise Business Partner CFO; Vodacom Tanzania FD and commercial director and Vodacom Mozambique FD.
