JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE- and TSX-V-listed Buffalo Coal has appointed Rowan Karstel interim CEO and Graham du Preez interim CFO and corporate secretary, effective October 17.
Karstel, who has held senior management positions at several mining companies in South Africa and Mozambique, holds a BSc degree in Mining and Civil Engineering from the University of Pretoria, a Master’s degree in Mineral Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MBA from Stellenbosch University.
Du Preez, who will maintain his current position as Alloycorp Mining CFO, is a senior finance executive with a record in publicly-traded international mining companies.
