Location
The Browse hydrocarbon resource is located in the Brecknock, Calliance and Torosa reservoirs, about 425 km north of Broome and about 290 km off the Kimberley coastline of Western Australia.

Project Owner/s
Browse Joint Venture (BJV), comprising Woodside Browse (operator), Shell Australia, BP Developments Australia, Japan Australia LNG and PetroChina International Investment (Australia).

Project Description
BJV is proposing to develop the Brecknock, Calliance and Torosa fields.

The BJV proposes to develop the Browse hydrocarbon resources using two floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facilities delivering 11.4-million tonnes a year of liquefied natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.

The FPSO facilities will be supplied by a subsea production system and will transport gas to the existing NWS project infrastructure through an estimated 900 km pipeline, which will tie in near the existing North Rankin Complex (NRC), in Commonwealth waters.

The NWS and NRC projects are owned by the NWS Joint Venture.
