Brand South Africa will be joining Partners for Possibility at the Nelson Mandela Foundation on Thursday to call on business leaders and executives to play their part in building a sustainable education system in the country.

In a statement released on Tuesday Brand SA described Partners for Possibility as a partnership between school principals and business leaders that seeks to find creative solutions to South Africa’s education crisis.

Partners for Possibility is calling on chief executives and other business leaders to contribute 150 hours a year to help develop the capability of school principals to govern their schools efficiently and effectively.

“Empowerment of principals is key to building schools able to execute their mandates to develop the young minds of South Africa,” Brand SA said.

Louise van Rhyn, director and founder of Partners for Possibility, describes the partnership with Brand SA as a strategic one.

“It is inspiring that the agency mandated to position South Africa as a competitive nation brand has chosen to work with Partners for Possibility in this way.

“The level of education and skills in a country is critical to a nation’s competitiveness and I am honoured that Brand South Africa is a partner to Partners for Possibility,” she said.
