Project Description
The project entails the construction of a new primary school, which will comprise 32 standard classrooms, with each able to accommodate 40 learners; four Grade R classrooms, with each able to accommodate 30 learners; and three multipurpose classrooms for library and computer services, arts and culture, and handwork.
The complex will also have a hall with toilet facilities, an administration building and facilities for a supervisor.

Jobs to Be Created
Several people from Happy Valley and the surrounding communities have benefited from short-term employment and skills training. 
To date, R4-million has been spent on targeted subcontractor businesses, R2-million on businesses supplying materials and R2-million on local labour. 
In addition, on-site training in plumbing and carpentry has been made available since June.

R62-million.

Duration
Construction started in June 2016 after the old school building was demolished and is expected to be completed in October.
