BevSA appoint General Manager

The Beverage Association of South Africa (BevSA) has appointed Mpho Thothela to the position of General Manager for Corporate Services with effect from 01 August 2018.  An admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, Thothela, is a former Director of Corporate Affairs at Muhari Logistic and will now be responsible for the BevSA’s marketing and communications, brand positioning and reputational management, financial management, revenue growth, budget management, IT and related functions including support services.

Thothela joins BevSA from Proudly South Africa where he served as Chief Officer: Membership, Legal and Compliance and Company Secretary. Prior to joining Proudly South Africa, Thothela was the Legal Manager at South African Football Association (SAFA) responsible for Stakeholder Management and commercial legal drafting including, SLAs, MOUs and Sponsorship Agreement, among others.

In 2010 Thothela was Legal Manager 2010 FIFA World Cup Local Organising Committee. He has also held leadership positions at Deloitte where he served client such as Western Cape Department of Education, Mpumalanga Land Restitution and the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration office.
