4th May 2015

Company Announcement - June 18 this year will see the 4th Annual Autodesk University Extension event kick off at The Forum in Johannesburg where industry experts will come together to share their insights on the latest global design trends.

The event hosts a panel of renowned local and international experts, including local design guru Dion Chang, who will share their inspirational views on new solutions in design that will help to shape “The Future of How Things are Made”, also the theme for this year’s event.

Autodesk, best known for their AutoCAD software, has been pivotal in transforming industry design for over 30 years. “This event is our way of bringing the most relevant, innovative design solutions from across the world to address challenges in architecture, infrastructure and engineering for our local market,” says Claire Taylor, Marketing Manager of the Autodesk Distributor, WorldsView Technologies.

The event offers tailored masterclasses from global and local speakers, and is an industry platform which tackles the challenge of design for sustainability head on. Delegates are offered networking and learning opportunities while exploring key burning issues faced across industry both in South Africa and the continent.

Autodesk University has provided customers from all over the world with the best learning and networking experiences for over 20 years. Based on the renowned Autodesk University held in Las Vegas every year, this event is a direct extension thereof, while it has subsequently grown to include exact replicas of these events around the globe.
