Atterbury progressing with Pretoria legal hub development

Property developers Atterbury are progressing with the development of a 6 000 m2 urban office precinct, aimed at legal practitioners.

The Club Advocates’ Chambers, near Menlo Park, in Pretoria, will offer office space for around 120 advocates, with the option of sectional title ownership.

Atterbury has already started construction on the new office development at the landmark The Club, which is already home to 14 400 m2 of retail, restaurant and office space at Club One.

The 5 200 m2 Club Two is also under development and will house a Planet Fitness gym and offices.

Atterbury development manager Wiehan Strydom noted that the company was pleased to work with Pretoria’s legal community. “The demand-driven development of the 10 000 m2 Club Three will also include a medical clinic of around 4 000 m2. The Club Advocates’ Chambers will welcome it first clients from February 2018.”

Brooklyn Advocate Chambers advocate Ilse Vermaak-Hay added that the legal community was looking for alternative chambers outside the city’s central business district (CBD), that also provided the ability for advocates to own their offices.

“While we found many rental-only options, there were no suitable offices available for purchase. [This hub] represents a good investment proposition in a great location with easy access to the High Court in the Pretoria CBD, as well as Brooklyn, Groenkloof, Menlyn and surrounds.

“It is an excellent environment in which to work and a good area for our clientele to visit. It is an address that makes a positive impression with quality offices served by generous parking within a sought-after modern mixed-use environment,” she added.
