Owing to tough trading conditions, JSE-listed Astral Foods expects its headline earnings and earnings a share for the year ended September 30 to be 50% to 70% lower year-on-year.
This implies that headline earnings a share will be between R6.05 and R10.08 apiece, compared with R20.16 the year before, while earnings a share will be between R6.04 and R10.06 apiece, compared with R20.13 in the comparative period.
The full-year results will be published on November 21.
