Anheuser-Busch InBev third quarter revenue up 4.5%

The world's largest brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev said on Thursday its revenue grew by 4.5% in the third quarter, while total volumes were up 0.2%.

AB Inbev said ​good growth in own beer volumes achieved in Europe, Mexico and many African markets during the quarter were partially offset by Brazil and Argentina. In the first nine months of 2018, total volumes were up 0.3% with own beer volumes up 0.6% and non-beer volumes down 3.1%.

Combined revenues of the company's global brands Budweiser, Stella Artois and Corona continued to grow in the third quarter, with revenues up 7.7% globally and 10.6% outside of their home markets. In the first nine months of the year, the combined revenues grew by 8.7% globally and by 13.3% outside home markets.

AB Inbev said the business integration with South African Breweries was progressing well, with synergies and cost savings of $229-million captured during the third quarter and $588-million captured during the first nine months.
