Siphamandla Mthethwa has resigned as CFO and executive director of steel producer ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA), with immediate effect.
AMSA chief strategy officer Gavin Griffiths will step in as acting CFO until a new CFO is appointed and takes office.
Griffiths is a qualified chartered accountant and has the necessary experience at a senior executive level in business and financial roles. He is therefore well qualified and has the necessary experience and understanding of the steel industry and the company to fulfil this role effectively, AMSA says.
