Airports Company South Africa Appoints New General Manager for Six Regional Airports

Airports Company South Africa is pleased to announce that it has appointed Jabulani Khambule as General Manager to lead its six regional airports.Khambule is not new to the company, having started his career at O.R. Tambo International Airport as a retail consultant in 2002. Over the past 14 years, he moved through the ranks, most recently having held the position of Retail Manager and Acting General Manager of O.R. Tambo International Airport in 2014.

The six regional airports that Khambule now manages are Port Elizabeth International, Bram Fischer International, Upington International, East London, George and Kimberley Airports.

Khambule said he is excited about his new role and is looking forward to the new challenges it will offer.

"The experience and exposure I acquired at O.R. Tambo International Airport have paved my journey. I believe that my involvement in retail management coupled with operations management will enable me to add great value to the business, as the team and I strive to provide a holistic offering to our passengers, stakeholders and business partners,” said Khambule.

In his position as the Regional Airports General Manager, Khambule is also part of Airports Company South Africa’s Executive Committee.
