Aerosud Holdings (Pty) Ltd is proud to announce the recent appointment of Mr George Sebulela to its Board of Directors.

George Sebulela is a highly experienced leader, entrepreneur and distinct professional with many years’ experience in strategy execution and investment banking in South Africa and internationally at a senior level.  A board director with extensive corporate and business experience, he has achieved significant executive leadership accomplishments in business and philanthropy.

Sebulela’s qualities of integrity, credibility and a passion for progress particularly within the Corporate Governance scope makes him an ideal candidate for appointment to the Aerosud Board.

Aerosud offers since 1990, aerostructure components, aircraft interior systems and competitive business solutions to its aerospace customers.  The company’s contribution to the aerospace industry is an unwavering commitment to superior quality, on time delivery and smart innovation that delivers on the promise of being a reliable partner to our customers.

Global demand for air travel is surging driven by rapid expansion in emerging markets, lead by China and India where more people are taking to the skies for the first time.  Aviation’s centre of gravity is shifting further eastwards.  Asia Pacific is likely to have 3,5 billion airline passengers by 2036, adding more than double the forecast for North America and Europe combined, according to estimates by the International Air Transport Association.

The short to medium term challenge for the aviation manufacturing supply chain will be to successfully meet the demanding growth rate in aircraft production.

Aerosud plays a leading role in extensive industry and government stakeholder interaction, to better position local industry to participate in global aviation growth.  In recognition of Aerosud’s support and commitment to the National Development Plan it received an accolade as winner of the Vision 2030 Industrial Action Plan Award and were also recognised by the dti sponsored SA Premier Business Awards as Exporter of the Year 2017/18 and by the SADC sponsored SQA as Southern African Exporter of the year 2018.

Aerosud’s focus on collaborations and “partnerships build on reliability” is an important element of its future growth strategy.

Sebulela’s strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills that constantly aid his natural affinity to cultivate relationships, persuade, convene, facilitate and build consensus among diverse individuals will contribute to Aerosud’s pursuit of continuing to be an ever-flourishing company within the growing global aviation industry.
