Project Description
Ascend’s site in Decatur is one of only four plants in the world that produce ADN on a large scale.

The project entails the construction of cogen­eration units and the expansion of ADN capacity to 180 000 t at the site.

The project will comprise three 33 MW industrial gas turbines.

The project is expected to reduce carbon emis­sions by 60%.

Potential Job Creation
Construction will create 150 skilled jobs during construction and ten high-end manufacturing jobs by project completion.

Capital Expenditure
$175-million.

Planned Start/End Date
The ADN expansion and cogeneration unit installation will occur in phases over 24 to 36 months.
