Project Description
The project involves the construction of a second kiln at Tanga’s cement plant.

The second kiln will increase the company’s clinker production capacity by 600 000 t/y, more than double the current capacity, enabling Tanga to produce enough clinker to meet all of its own requirements and dispense with imports.

Value
The cost will be an estimated $165-million.

Duration
Construction of the second kiln is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2015.
