Project Description
The project proposes to establish a 40 MW solar PV plant in the villages of Nandiya and Gardhani, in Baori Tehsil, in the state of Rajasthan.

The direct current (dc) power from the solar panels will be sent to an inverter to convert the dc power into alternate current power, which will be locally pooled before being fed into the utility power grid system.

The power generated will be evacuated through a 132 kV transmission line to Bhawad substation at Rajasthan Vidyut Vitran Nigam, located about 23 km from the project site.

Azure Clean Energy has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India.

The cost of the project is estimated at $45.8-million.

Duration
The project is planned for commissioning by the end of April 2015.
