Energy and chemicals group Sasol and the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) signed a memorandum of agreement on Monday opening the way for collaboration on infrastructure development in the Govan Mbeki municipality, in Mpumalanga, and Metsimaholo municipality, in the Free State.

Sasol has also entered into a public-private partnership with the two municipalities, where it has committed to investing about R800-million on infrastructure, education and healthcare initiatives between 2012 and 2016.

The partnership with DBSA, which specialises in infrastructure finance and delivery, is expected to enhance the programmes.
