New Way Power
Established in South Africa in 1983, New Way Power, manufacturer of world-class diesel generator sets, provides bespoke systems for a wide range of markets, including retail, commercial and African telecom sectors.
The company offers full turnkey solutions of diesel generators, services and after-sales, as well as remote monitoring and service- level agreements.
New Way Power’s headquarters are located at 30 Jacobs street, Alberton North, Gauteng, with regional offices in Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal. The factory, which was built in 2010, houses the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and covers 30 000 m2, of which 15 400 m2 is under cover. At this facility, they are able to design and build to the highest quality standards, from application of product technology to final on-site commissioning. The company employs 253 people.
The company’s sound attenuation division builds attenuators and soundproof canopies and containers.
Services offered include dedicated 24-hour technical field service, installation and diesel delivery across the country.
New Way Power is a wholly owned subsidiary of premium machines, tools and edging distributor Austro and operates in accordance with South African Bureau of Standards certification on electrical builds, while the company is in the process of acquiring ISO 9000 certification.
Its recent major contracts include the supply of standby power units to the Mall of Rosebank and two 2 200 kVA synched units at a data centre in Johannesburg, with an additional two 2 200 kVA units to follow at a second premises.
