State-owned parastatal Eskom on Thursday warned that prepaid customers could experience slow, intermittent or offline service when attempting to buy prepaid electricity online.

“We are currently running our back-up system as we are attending to a technical problem with our main prepaid vending system,” the company said.

It added, however, that customers should be able to buy prepaid electricity at all the normal vending outlets during this time.
