Project Description
Insurance provider Discovery is set to have a new resource-efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sustainable global head office in Sandton, Gauteng. Discovery currently occupies four buildings comprising 67 000 m2.
The company’s new 87 000 m2 headquarters will comprise two wings, with eight floors of offices, a ground floor and a feature roof level. It will also offer nine basements with more than 5 100 parking bays.
The building has been designed to incorporate a Green Building Council South Africa green building-accredited rating of five stars.

Latest Developments
Earthworks for the development are under way, with the previous Sandton Garden Court hotel buildings and other buildings previously occupying the site having been demolished.
The construction of the basement levels are expected to start in October and construction of the office levels in January 2016.
