Project Description
The project involves the construction of five 14 000 twenty-foot equivalent units class containerships.

The ultralarge containerships will measure 368 m in length, 51 m in width and 30 m in depth.

The containerships will feature an electronically controlled main engine and HiBallast seawater treatment system.

Value
$600-million.

Duration
The ships are scheduled to be delivered from 2015.

Latest Developments
Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has won the order for the five containerships from Seaspan Corporation.

The contract includes an option exercisable by the owner for five additional same-class boxships.
