Client
Aqaba Development Corporation.

Project Description
The LNG import terminal will be an offshore floating, storage and regasification unit- (FSRU-) based solution, with a nominal maximum throughput of 490-million standard cubic feet a day.

The FSRU will have a range from 125 000 m3 to 170 000 m3, and comprise an open- or closed-looped vaporisation system and be moored at a single-berth configuration.

The transfer of LNG to the FSRU will be through a ship-to-ship method using hard arms.

The FSRU will be connected to the shore using an approach trestle. The unit will be self-supporting, generate its own power and have its own firelighting system. Potable water will be supplied by tanker trucks.

The jetty and berth will be designed to accommodate the range of FSRU sizes mentioned above.
