Name and Location
Amur gas processing plant (GPP), Amur region, Russia.

Client
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, a subsidiary of the Gazprom group, and NIPIGAZ, a subsidiary of the Sibur group, have agreed to form a partnership on design, procurement and construction management for the Amur GPP.

NIPIGAZ, acting as a contractor within the joint project, will provide working documentation, equipment and materials, undertake construction and installation activities at the Amur GPP, and transfer the plant to Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk once completed.

Project Description
The Amur GPP will become Russia’s largest natural-gas processing facility, with a design capacity reaching 49-billion cubic metres a year.

It will also include the world’s largest helium production.

The GPP will produce ready-for-sale methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane-hexane fraction and helium.

Cutting-edge engineering solutions will be applied in construction, allowing for the mitigation of the plant’s environmental impact.

Multicomponent gas from the Irkutsk and Yakutia gas production centres being built by Gazprom as part of the Eastern gas programme will be delivered to the plant through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.

Phased commissioning of the GPP production lines will be synchronised with the development of gas production capacities in Yakutia and the Irkutsk Region.

The GPP will be connected with Sibur’s facility for deep processing of hydrocarbons, the construction of which is being considered by the group.
