Multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company Amec Foster Wheeler has appointed Garry Dryburgh as president of its Middle East and Africa operations, effective August 9.

He would be based in Abu Dhabi and would report to Amec Foster Wheeler group president for the Asia, Middle East, Africa and Southern Europe region Roberto Penno.

Dryburgh joined the company in 2006 and he previously served as integration director, as well as executive VP of Asia-Pacific.

“I am delighted to have someone with Garry's depth and breadth of expertise for this significant role, which encompasses a diverse portfolio of countries, cultures and growth opportunities,” commented Penno.

Engineering and project management company Amec in November last year concluded its merger with Switzerland-headquartered global engineering and construction company and power equipment supplier Foster Wheeler to form Amec Foster Wheeler.
