The project has been selected as a preferred bidder in the fourth round of the Department of Energy’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.
The wind farm has a contracted capacity of 139.4 MW and is located between the towns of Sutherland and Matjiesfontein, in the Northern Cape.
The project will comprise 43 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW and a hub height of 91.5 m.
