Business media company Terrapinn expects about 4 000 delegates to attend its yearly Africa Ports and Harbours show, which will take place on July 1 and 2 at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg.

“The Africa Ports and Harbours Show, which is now in its eleventh year, is the leading marketplace for ideas exchange for African ports, terminal and harbour operators, cargo owners, investors and governments seeking innovative solutions to develop and expand their business activities across Africa,” states Terrapinn marketing manager Bianca Wiener.

She highlights that the show is a platform for thought leaders and innovators to present their ideas and solutions to Africa’s transport community.

“The show also presents a significant opportunity for the continent’s foremost solution providers to meet new customers, and to grow their client base in Africa,” adds Wiener.

Moreover, she notes that the show will include a mix of both local and international industry experts.

The show’s presenters include, among others, US-based sustainable transportation research centre Institute of Transportation Studies director Daniel Sperling, local industry employers' organisation Chamber of Mines of South Africa president Michael Teke, State-owned port administrator Nigeria Ports Authority CEO Habibu Abdullahi, oil giant Shell South Africa chairperson Bonang Mohale and State-owned port administrator Tanzania Ports Authority infrastructure development deputy director-general Julius Mfuko,

Additionally, State-owned freight and logistics group Transnet Port Terminals KwaZulu-Natal operations GM Zeph Ndlovu, industry body tasked with promoting South Africa’s maritime interests South African Maritime Safety Authority Centre for Shipping Services executive head Sobantu Tilayi and
Nigerian oil and gas company Devon Petrogas COO Prince Raymone Okuo, will also be speaking at the show.
