Construction and earthmoving equipment distributor CSE Equipment has delivered six new Case SR130 skid steer loaders to the head offices of plant and tool to hire company Bo’s Plant Hire in Mt Edgecombe, KwaZulu-Natal. These machines are meant to complement Bo’s Plant Hire’s fleet of skid steers and attachments that are used in diverse industries throughout the country.

CSE Equipment – the capital equipment group of holding and investment company Invicta Holdings – says the Case SR130 skid steer loaders are the smallest machines in the SR series, but still offer advanced features for optimum performance, enhanced productivity and increased operator comfort. “These machines are particularly well suited for digging, prying and pushing applications in smaller construction and agricultural projects, as well as for land clearing and landscaping,” says CSE Equipment KwaZulu-Natal branch manager Graham Clare.

He says Bo’s Plant Hire made a strategic decision to extend its SR range, which includes the larger Case SR175 machines, and the SR130 series.

“According to Bo’s MD Craig Cook, there is growing demand in the area for compact machines to handle smaller projects. Also, investment in this equipment forms part of the company’s commitment to extending its portfolio of machines to meet exact market requirements,” comments Clare.

Additionally, the robust Case SR series skid steer loaders were recently upgraded to ensure a high-quality driving force, increased stability and reliable handling in all conditions, including tight spaces.

The turbocharged Tier 4-certified diesel engines with four cylinders provide the power and torque required to efficiently cope in the toughest site environments, while ensuring optimal operating efficiency and fuel economy, says Clare.

The large fuel tank, with a capacity of 60.5 ℓ, enables the machine to operate all day without the need to stop for refuelling.

The Case SR130 unit has a 590 kg operating capacity and a peak torque rating of 143 Nm at 2 800 rpm. These machines have a tipping load capacity of up to 1 179 kg and the breakout force of the bucket cylinder is 18.6 kN.

Clare adds that, the new Power Stance chassis has a wheelbase up to 21% longer and 30/70 front/rear weight distribution, designed to safely increase the capacity to lift and haul more material. The machines also offer increased travelling speeds and improved stability, regardless of working conditions.

The new design of the SR130 series enables easy, ground-line access for daily maintenance checks. Two retaining bolts facilitate convenient cab tilting for access to hydraulic and transmission components when necessary. A safety locking system, which prevents the cab from dropping, is automatically activated. Battery and environmental drain hoses are easily accessible from the side of the machine for quick service and maintenance.

The new cab design offers 25% more interior width, with improved visibility, comfort and control. The cab has been sealed to reduce noise levels and dust ingress. The cab has an ultranarrow wire side screen, with more glass surface area to provide 360° visibility for the operator. The side lighting enables 24-hour operation.

Optional attachments for these skid steer loaders include buckets, pallet forks, breakers, augers, sweepers, backhoes, stump grinders, cement mixers, cold planers, trenchers, rollers and slot cutters.

A hydraulic coupler enables the operator to switch attachments without having to leave the cab. The standard Connect Under Pressure feature allows connection of tool hoses without the need for a wrench.

Tyres for specific applications include heavy and severe duty, nonpneumatic, flotation, mining and premium liner options.

CSE’s service to a diverse customer base also encompasses maintenance contracts, assistance during breakdowns and the repair and maintenance of hired machines.
