Josh Swank, vice president of sales and marketing for Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. is happy to announce the signing of a licensing agreement with Mr. Håkan Johannesson, vice president of CeDe Group of Malmö, Sweden that commenced on Dec. 6, 2013.

Under the terms of this partnership, PHIL is licensing its Rear Eject Technology for use in off-highway body applications within the construction and mining sectors to CeDe for use in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia. Rear Eject Bodies manufactured under this licensing agreement by CeDe and shipping into Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be branded as CeDe products and bodies shipped into Australia will be branded under the PHIL brand name.

“The CeDe Group is an outstanding company that engineers and manufactures a diverse line of equipment for the construction and mining industries. Because of its close proximity to the Port of Malmö and close cooperation with Volvo CE, CeDe is able to build customized equipment for Volvo CE products, install its products on the prime machines and ship them as a turn key solution direct to the dealer or end user globally. This agreement will help PHIL expand into the European, Middle East and African markets with our rear eject bodies, and it will help CeDe further expand into customized articulated hauler solutions” said Swank.

PHIL Engineering, headed by its Chief Engineer LeRoy Hagenbuch, P.E. has led the global off-highway haulage industry in rear eject technology.  In 1985, PHIL released its first rear eject product for use in a landfill environment, hauling refuse.  Since this time, PHIL and Mr. Hagenbuch have amassed multiple U.S. and global patents on rear eject technology.

CeDe Group is a fast growing engineering company with its head office in Malmö, Sweden. Development and production are strongly linked, as the whole operation is under the same roof. This contributes to dynamic and innovative solutions where ideas are shaped into ready-to-use machines. In the expansive Öresund region of Sweden, CeDe develops and manufactures special applications and complete machines. The majority of its customers are world-leading companies within the mining, construction and offshore industries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia.

Located in Peoria, Ill., Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. has been building equipment for off-highway haul trucks since 1969, and become the global leader in off-highway truck customization. In addition to custom trailers, truck bodies, lowboy trailers, vehicle recovery tools and rear eject bodies, Philippi-Hagenbuch designs and builds tailgates and water tanks for nearly every make and model of articulated and rigid frame off-highway truck available.
