Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, today announces the signature of a strategic partnership agreement with  Bearing Man Group - BMG, which is designed to extend the level of support and product availability that both companies offer to customers throughout South Africa and the Sub-Saharan African region.  The new strategic partnership will provide guaranteed supply of Parker pneumatic, hydraulic, filtration and instrumentation components and systems to key accounts and end users, in industries including mining, manufacturing, process, transport, construction and logistics.

Parker Hannifin is the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies, while BMG is known as a powerful force in the engineering industry, providing superior technical solutions to their customers.

Charly Saulnier, President Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Parker Hannifin, explains that, “At Parker, we make a conscious effort to find ways to deliver our products, more efficiently to a growing footprint. Our strategic partnership with BMG will enable us to reach new markets, while giving BMG fast access to our extensive portfolio of products and technologies, from a single source.  For our customers in South Africa this means the quality products of the world leader in Motion & Control will be available locally with excellent customer service provided by BMG through their extensive network.”

Parker already has one of the world’s most extensive distribution of over 13 000 locations world wide and customer support networks, with a combination of independent distributors including ParkerStores and HOSE DOCTOR. Charly Saulnier believes, “With more than 2000 ParkerStore locations internationally, our goal is to always have a Parker solution nearby. With this agreement the route to market in South Africa will take a great leap forward. This is another step forward in our long term strategy to make Parker products available rapidly and at competitive cost to every customer, no matter where they are located or in which market they operate.  It also adds a new dimension to our distribution strategy by allowing us to reach customers that may not previously have had ready access to Parker technology”.

Executive Director of BMG, Gavin Pelser, adds, “This strategic partnership enhances the range of products and solutions that BMG offers to our customers in sub Saharan Africa and is in line with BMG’s strategy to partner with world leaders such as Parker Hannifin, the Global leader in motion and control. With the addition of Parker’s extensive range of products and solutions, BMG will continue to ensure that our customers remain globally competitive. Parker products will be strategically stocked throughout sub Saharan Africa and distributed through our national sales network, supported by technical expertise available in all major industrial regions, ensuring BMG is always part of our customer’s process”..
