North Tarrant Express extension.

Location
The project will extend 11 km from Heritage Trace Parkway, north of US 81/287, to Eagle Parkway, in Denton County, Texas, in the US.

Project Owner/s
Texas Department of Transport.

NTE Mobility Partners Segments 3, comprising Cintra Infraestructuras (a subsidiary of Ferrovial), the Meridiam fund and APG, which is the concession company.

Project Description
The project involves the construction and operation of a new extension (Segment 3C) to the North Tarrant Express.

Existing lanes will be upgraded and will continue to be toll-free, while two toll-managed lanes each way, as well as on-ramps, will be built.

Capital Expenditure
The project is estimated at $910-million.

Planned Start/End Date
Construction work is under way and the road is expected to be open to traffic by the end of 2023. The concession will run until 2061.
