Instrumentation engineering business Kobold – represented locally by instrumentation and measurement product supplier Instrotech – now offers the highly precise pressure measuring devices, the HND-P121 or P231 up to the HND-P127, which have integrated pressure sensors.

The measuring devices each have two pressure measurement inputs on the top of the housing, which are connected to the measuring points by means of a stable metal connection and plastic hoses, available as accessories.

The company explains that numerous measuring ranges in the overpressure and underpressure ranges are available for various measurement tasks, such as differential pressure measurement.

In addition to pressure display, the measuring units offer additional functions, such as the minimum or maximum value memory, a hold function, a tare function, and automatic self-shut-off or zero-point offset.

Instrotech points out that devices with an expanded spectrum of functions also have a logger function, a peak value memory, a minimum/maximum alarm, an adjustable measuring cycle and averaging. The key features of each device range comprise the integrated pressure sensor, differential pressure measurement, two hose connections, serial interface and relative pressure sensors.

The measuring units can be used in the chemicals, pharmaceuticals and food industries. Additional uses are found in machine and apparatus construction as well as piping and container construction.

Earlier this year, Instrotech made available the battery-powered ultrasonic water meter from supplier of flow meters manufacturer ELIS, which is intended for instantaneously measuring flow rates and pressure and consumption in water piping.

The measuring unit is made to measure water flow in accordance with the EN 14154 standard for water works and is also used to measure in water distribution systems and other industrial applications.

The company explains that the compact and accurate Elis flomic FL5024 has long-term stability over a range of measured values, and conforms to the IP68 protection class. The company points out that the Elis flomic FL5024 meter does not need any external power supply, does not include any moving parts and has significantly lower hydraulic losses.

The technical parameters and other features of the Elis flomic FL5024 water meter make it suitable for water consumption measurements, water-leak tracking and the monitoring of the general condition of water-supply networks where the meter output signals can be connected through data transfer systems to remote computer control stations.

It explains that the measurement method used by the meters is a single-beam transit- time pulse, based on evaluation of the time needed for an ultrasonic signal to cross the distance between two measuring transducers.

In the standard version, the meter measures the instantaneous flow rate, in cubic metres per hour, and the total volume of water passed through the meter, in cubic metres, in the given flow direction.

Instrotech concludes that the measured data is converted into passive pulse output signals.
