Australia-based oil and gas engineering and construction company and Murray & Roberts (M&R) subsidiary Clough has secured a three-year contract to provide asset support and operations and maintenance services to energy corporation ConocoPhillips’ Bayu-Undan offshore field development, in Australia.

Through the 50:50 Clough Amec joint venture, the company would work on the offshore facilities, located in the Timor Sea, which comprised a floating storage and offloading facility and three fixed platforms; a remote wellhead platform and a compression, utilities and quarters platform; and a drilling, production and processing platform.

The latter two were located adjacent to each other and linked by an access bridge, forming the central production and processing complex.

M&R CEO Henry Laas said the contract continued the company’s relationship with ConocoPhillips.

“It further strengthens our experience in the asset support, operations and maintenance sectors. These sectors are set to offer many new opportunities for contractors in Australasia in the short-to-medium term,” he added.
