National mineral research organisation the Council for Mineral Technology (Mintek) has reappointed Dr Molefi Motuku as CEO for the next five years.

Motuku has stewarded Mintek since 2019 and remains committed to driving development and inclusive economic growth through mineral innovation.

He has helped to grow Mintek’s market share, with its technology being used in more than 60 countries.

Chairperson Dr Thibedi Ramontja has expressed confidence that Motuku will continue advancing technological frontiers, fostering global collaborations and contributing to sustainable development in the minerals sector.

Motuku, in turn, says he is pleased to continue leading Mintek, adding that it is “a privilege to guide an organisation with such a distinguished pedigree and skilled teams”.
