This photograph – taken during the launch earlier this month of the Sunrise Energy open-access liquefied petroleum gas facility, in Saldanha Bay – shows the moon’s reflection as the sun rose over the R1-billion import and storage terminal. The launch was presided over by Economic Development Minister Ebrahim Patel and Energy Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi. Patel said the facility would help consolidate the West Coast’s role as a key national energy corridor. “The 140 km corridor contains the most diversified energy mix in the country, including petroleum, gas, renewables, oil and nuclear energy,” Patel noted.
