Mall of Mauritius
Name and Location
Mall of Mauritius, Bagatelle, Mauritius.
Project Description
The 36 000-m2 Mall of Mauritius is planned to be the first regional shopping mall in Mauritius. The mall will consist of six cinemas, 150 stores and 2 500 parking bays. It will form part of the larger mixed-use Bagatelle city precinct development, which, upon completion, will include the mall, a motor city, a hotel, offices and a residential estate.
The mall will be built adjacent to the motorway in the heart of the island, between the capital, Port Louis, and the newly developed Cyber City.
The development will be expanded at a later stage to include some large-scale businesses, hotels, schools, residential, educational and civic land components. The design of the mall has also provided for a 150-bed international hotel to be built next to the centre.
