Project Description
This 160 000-m2 shopping centre will be one of the biggest shopping centres in North Africa. The development, to be located in Cairo, will house a total of 350 stores, a 17-screen cinema complex, a Magic Planet indoor amusement park, an outdoor plaza, a dining facility and the Ski Egypt indoor skiing facility. The shopping centre will target customers in the residential areas of Cairo's growing suburbs, as well as potential tourists.

The design of the shopping centre will incorporate ‘three distinct architectural areas'.

The project is valued at $772-million.

The duration of the project has not been confirmed.

Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Properties, a construction arm of the MAF Group.

Latest Developments
MAF has announced that it will invite potential bidders for main construction works in November 2010.

On Budget and on Time?
The project is in the detail design phase, which will be completed by October 2010, before the contract for main construction works goes to tender.
