South African Poultry Association CEO Kevin Lovell is stepping down, effective August 17, after 11 years at the helm.

Dr Charlotte Nkuna has been appointed acting CEO.

“At the request of the board, I will continue to [consult] for a limited period on matters requiring my attention,” Lovell said in a statement this week.

Lovell said that Dr Ziyanda Majokweni was to be contacted for all animal health and welfare matters, while any matter relating to eggs, broilers, transformation and trade should be referred to Nkuna.

Christopher Mason is responsible for matters relating to training and general information.
