Kimmo
Paperboard and corrugated pallet manufacturer Kimmo, which previously traded as CX Pallets, manufactures honeycomb paperboard, an extremely thick and sturdy material for use in protective transport packaging.
Having invested in state-of-the-art honeycomb paperboard manufacturing technology, Kimmo specialises in manufacturing bulk bins, called KimmoBins, for transport packaging.
KimmoBins are export-ready, fully recyclable paperboard crates with superior stacking strength and unsurpassed protective cushioning properties. They come flat-packed and are conveniently assembled and disassembled for more than one use. KimmoBins can also be branded and custom-made to specific sizes and needs. Moreover, they are extremely cost effective, compared with traditional wooden crates, and provide similar protection and strength.
KimmoBins are accepted for exports to all countries, as they are ISPM-15-compliant, which means that they are risk-free in terms of pest infestation traditionally associated with wooden crates and pallets.
In addition to KimmoBins, Kimmo manufactures protective edgeboard, honeycomb paperboard pallets and corrugated pallet-box combinations.
Established in 2006, the company considers itself a market leader in the paperboard pallet and protective packaging industry. With an order book value in excess of R1-million at any given time, Kimmo has seen consistent growth of 20% or more in its yearly turnover over the past few years.
In January 2014, the company moved to a newly renovated factory, located at 37 Fortune street, in City Deep, south of the Johannesburg.
