Independent power producer Ipsa on Thursday announced the sudden death of its CEO Phil Metcalf.

Ipsa said former CEO Peter Earl had agreed to take on the role of acting CEO in the interim.

“On behalf of the company, I would like to express our appreciation for the contribution Phil has made. He was a leader of integrity and honesty, who was dedicated to his work and will be difficult for us to replace. He will be greatly missed,” Ipsa chairperson Richard Linnell commented.
