Midrand-based cleaning solutions provider Blendwell Chemicals has completed the development of the company’s Enviro Waterless Car Wash, and is aiming to officially launch the product early next year.

In addition to this, the company will also be launching several new additions to its eco-friendly cleaning range, such as the Enviroblend.

The Enviro Waterless Car Wash – a light-duty cleaner application – will be launched following the approval of its green tag certification, which is expected within the next three months, says Blendwell CEO Judy Sunasky.

She explains that the product is an easy-to-use, spray-on, wipe-off system, which saves water and, therefore, helps to protect the environment – especially in drought-stricken or water-scarce areas.

However, Sunasky explains that, while companies are constantly developing products, consumers are still hesitant to use green cleaning products.

“One of the biggest challenges is convincing consumers that the product works, as they have a preconceived notion that green cleaning products are weak. The only way to convince consumers is to demonstrate the product.”

She adds that another preconceived notion of green products is that they are expensive: “This is why Blendwell has introduced a range of affordable green cleaning products, which include the Enviro Waterless Car Wash and the Enviro Degreaser”.

Green products – and not only those of Blendwell – often work better than the dangerous chemicals that consumers normally use, Sunasky says.

“The most important factor to take into consideration is that using green products is much safer. The last thing you want to do is make your home a biohazard, which can so often be the case if you do not use the correct cleaning materials.”

She explains that chemicals in non-ecofriendly products can be extremely harmful, often come from limited resources and can linger in the world around us.

“These products can adversely affect a person’s health and have serious consequences for our waterways in the long term. You do not need to put yourself, your staff or your family at risk anymore because you can easily make the change to using green cleaning products. They will get the job done just as well, if not better than the original products you had in your home, office or factory,” Sunasky mentions.

Blendwell’s range of cleaning chemicals includes industrial chemicals; chemicals for laundry washing, home, office, kitchen, bathroom, food-industry and motor vehicle cleaning products; all types of floor cleaning chemicals; and disinfectants; as well as cleaning accessories.
