Engineering News would like to clarify civil engineering and construction consultancy South Zambezi Engineering Services’ involvement in the Legaeng Village, Urban Spacing Housing and South African National Roads Limited Central Operations Centre projects.

These projects were mentioned in an advertorial titled ‘South Zambezi delivers engineering services: for Africa by Africans’, published in Engineering News on pages 22 to 25 on December 1, 2017, in a fact box titled ‘Projects touched by South Zambezi’. However, subsequently, Gawie Combrinck, of GFC Consulting Engineers, informed Engineering News that these projects were completed by consulting firm Hadebe Khumalo Consulting Engineers.

“The entity was later – much later – sold to Simbi Phiri, whereafter he changed the name to South Zambezi,” states Combrinck.
