Gautrain bus commuters will have to make alternative arrangements to get to work on Tuesday following a labour dispute with its drivers.

On their Twitter page Gautrain bus management said their drivers had not reported for duty this morning.

“Our bus service won't be operating as of this morning. Drivers haven't reported for duty. We apologise for the inconvenience,” the tweet read.

Gautrain said their train service continues to operate as scheduled.

In October 2015, Gautrain bus drivers disrupted services by taking an unauthorised lunch break.

They were demanding an approval of a lunch interval.

It is unclear when the bus services will be back in operation on Tuesday.
